  1. Working with Mark is a pleasure. Not only is he very fast and effective with his information, but he knows how people learn and what works in the classroom. Using his extensive science background as well as his teaching experience at the high school and junior college levels, Mark is THE guy to call if you either need to build a program or if you need help with a unit or a lab. You and your students won't be disappointed.

  2. As Science Curriculum Coordinator for the East Side Union High School District, I find myself applying a strategy of fiscal conservancy like never before.I've had to oversee a 50% reduction in science department site budgets at my eleven comprehensive sites.I will however find the money to bring Mark Okuda back to our district, next school year.
Mark's seminar, The Art of Teaching Science was the highest rated professional development in our district's history and his consultancy with AP Biology and Forensic Science teachers has helped us build model programs of rigor and achievement within truly startified classrooms.I highly recommend Mark Okuda to districts and schools who seek substantial/ startegy based direction that will translate into measurable student achievement gains.

  3. Words cannot describe how awesome Mark is. He had helped me survived my first year of teaching. Mark is very down to earth and approachable. You can ask him for advice on virtually any thing about science and classroom management techniques...and he'll sincerely answers your questions.

Mark is organized and knowledgeable...and he always have tons hands-on lesson plans that he can share. I still implement most of Mark's lesson plan in my Biotech and Forensic Science classes....and the kids loved it.

Mark is definitely the guy you want to work with. I have benefited alot from working with him...and I know that anyone had worked with him will also agree.

  4. I have been to many of Mark's workshops. I have been able to bring a lot of his techniques into my classroom. We also had the opportunity to hire Mark this year to come into my Biotechnology classes and teach and help me teach his Forensics unit, which included the evaluation of a crime scene and a Mock Trial. My students loved the unit.

  5. I have known and worked with Mark for a number of years, providing workshops on forensics at Applied Biosystems in Foster City in which he has instructed students in histology, ballistics, fingerprinting, DNA analysis, and anthropology. Mark is a gifted and talented instructor who makes learning seem fun and effortless. Being a veteran high school teacher of over 20 years and a consultant to a number of teachers newly developing programs in biotechnology and forensics, Mark commands a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I can think of no one more qualified or a better resource than Mark for developing a worthwhile and sustainable classroom program. Frank Stephenson, Ph.D., Life Technologies, Foster City, CA.

  6. I was so impressed with Mark Okuda's Forensic Workshop that a year later I attended it a second time at my own expense....including airfare! Mark is an expert at his craft in every sense of the word. Not only is he thoroughly knowledgeable in his subject areas, but anyone under his tutelage can expect to walk away with a wealth of resources, practices, insights, and wisdom that Mark has developed over his extensive teaching career. Out of all of the workshops and trainings that I have attended, over my 16 years as a science teacher, I have never been more impressed with what I learned from Mark and with the kind of thoughtful professional that he is. He truly cares about helping other teachers challenge and engage their students. Whatever it is that you're looking to accomplish and learn as an educator, Okuda is your Man!
